Greetings from the Big Apple! (though i'm not sure why they call it this as I didn't see any big apples while I was here...)
New York is quite an interesting place. There are tons of things to see and do, unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time so we did a lot of walking, a bit of shopping and of course lots of eating!
New York really has this food thing down, they have all sorts of different types of food and all sorts of areas to eat.
Indonesian in the east village:
European/Mexican fusion in the west village:
American Diner on the west side:
Turkish Mediterranean and ...
Mexican in the upper west side near central park:
Sounds kind of complicated doesn't it? Luckily if you can't figure out which side or place to be they have trucks and carts with food everywhere! You can get pretzels, hot dogs, gyros, knish, mangos, bananas, apples, cherries, smoothies, ice cream ...
you may want to watch what you order as they list the calories!
and of course there is always takeout.
New York also has lots of things to see. They have Central Park:
The "Rock" (Rockefeller Center)
The Empire State Building
The Statue of Liberty
Time Square
The Diamond district
The New York Stock Exchange
An Aircraft carrier
with canons
and machine guns!
A submarine
Grand Central Station
The New York subway system
and New York taxi cabs - they are everywhere!
Of course no trip to the big city would be complete without running into a few celebs!

Some guys from Umbrella Corporation
Darth Vader
The Black Widow
Captain Jack Sparrow
and the god of thunder himself - Thor!
